Welcome,

I’m a Bristol-based psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist committed to helping you achieve your goals and overcome life's challenges. Having personally experienced the transformative impact of Solution-Focused Therapy and Hypnotherapy 15 years ago during my own journey through anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, I'm driven by a genuine passion to offer the support we all deserve.

My Solution-Focused approach combines Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness – individually or in combination. This comprehensive therapeutic toolkit enables me to address emotional and behavioural issues, guiding individuals towards regaining control, building confidence, and achieving lasting resilience and well-being.

 

I work from The Centre for Whole Health in Southville (BS3) and the Alma Physiotherapy Clinic in Redland (BS6), as well as Online.

Specialising in Solution-Focused Therapy for Anxiety, Depression and Trauma Resolution, as well as Fertility and Perinatal Support.

Anxiety

An anxiety disorder is a mental health condition characterised by excessive and persistent worry, fear, or uneasiness that significantly interferes with daily life. Anxiety disorders can take many forms (generalised anxiety, OCD, phobias, social anxiety, performance anxiety...) and originate from a wide range of triggers.

There is no one size fits all when it comes to treating anxiety. I offer a gentle and positive approach to help my clients find their own path towards resilience, confidence and inner-peace.

Fertility

The focus of my work extends beyond achieving successful pregnancies; I assist my clients in regaining a sense of control over their lives and emotions. This involves building confidence in their ability to cope, reconnecting with their bodies, as well as overcoming feelings of grief, anger, and anxiety.

 

Additionally, I provide support in managing other challenging aspects of the fertility journey, including sleeping difficulties and restoring communication channels within the couple.

Depression

Whilst low mood refers to a temporary state of feeling down, depression, on the other hand, is a more pervasive and persistent mental health condition characterised by a prolonged and intense sense of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities.

 

Through Hypnotherapy, CBT and Mindfulness, I help people to develop effective coping strategies, make necessary changes on a conscious and subconscious levels, and to find joy in life again.

MamaKind

As a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist specialising in perinatal support, I help parents overcome anxiety, low mood, symptoms of depression, anger, as well as low confidence and low self-esteem both during pregnancy and postnatally.

Additionally, I support women and birthing people in preparing for a positive and empowering birth experience through group and private Hypnobirthing courses.

People also turn to me for help when they need healing from challenging experiences related to birth, miscarriage, loss, pregnancy complications, or breastfeeding difficulties.

Trauma Resolution

The symptoms of trauma can vary widely but often include intrusive thoughts or memories, avoidance of reminders or discussions related to the traumatic event, negative changes in mood and thinking, heightened arousal and reactivity, emotional numbness, negative self-perception, and physical symptoms like headaches or stomach aches. When these manifestations persist, they significantly impact daily life.

 

The techniques I use act as 'circuit breakers' to help people process and overcome difficult experiences and regain control of the their lives.

Other Therapies

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is also well-known for its therapeutic benefits for people experiencing insomnia, anger issues, low-confidence and low self-esteem, as well as those who wish to recover from an eating disorders, addictions or who wish to stop smoking
